Dr. Harper Anderson "Happy" Scott was the doctor who delivered me, my brothers and my Uncle Ish. I found some information about him from the examination and register ledgers at the Texas Medical Board where I work. Here are some photos taken by my co-worker, Adriana Leal. Dr. Scott was born January 16, 1891 and died on January 31, 1975.

The ONWARD sculpture has been in front of the Austin Animal Center ever since the shelter opened but it was neglected. Now the sculpture is being revitalized. The insides of the letters are being planted with native grasses that will change color with the seasons. Here are some photos of the sculpture with the new grasses.

KittyPalooza is a big event at the Austin Animal Center. This year it happened on Saturday, July 9th. Free Kittens. Who doesn't like free Kittens. It only happens once a day a year so there is a pretty big crowd that shows up. Here is what it looked like in 2016.
